The Breakthrough is a new course I’ve designed to help people understand how to victoriously emerge from the deep struggles they are wrestling through with God.

I can honestly say that I’ve battled some of the most gut-wrenching spiritual challenges the sons of God can face when you dedicate your life fully to the Lord.  These were not mere questions that rose up in my mind.  These were not moments.  These were SEASONS that sometimes lasted several years.

• The Crisis of Faith
  • “Do I still believe God exists?”
  • “Is God good or evil?”
  • “Do I even want to continue to follow Him?”
• The Deep Anger & Hurt
  • “How could You allow that to happen?”
  • “Why did You do that to me?”
  • “Why do I feel like You’re actively trying to kill me?”
• The Brick Wall
  • “My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?” 
  • “Why do You stare at me while I cry out to You but You don’t respond to me?”
• The Great Disappointment
  • “Is the relationship with God I’ve developed thus far all there is to hope for?”
  • “Is this Christian life I’m experiencing as good as I can expect it to get?”
  • “Am I supposed to find this worth it all the sacrifices I’ve made?”
• The Spiritual Burnout
  • “Why does what You say is a ‘life-giving’ relationship with You feel like a ‘life-taking’ relationship?”
  • “No matter how much I do, why do You always want more from me?”
  • “Why is what I have done and how I did it, never enough for You?”
• The Unloved by God
  • “Why do You love others more than You love me?”
  • “Why do You make my life more difficult than others’ lives?”
  • “Why are you always so hard on me?”

But – true to the Pérez name I married into – God was faithful to break me through each of these soul-rending challenges into increasingly deeper levels of relationship, to a life I’ve always dreamed of getting to live with Him.  

As God helped navigate me through these seasons of heartache, despair, grief, and agony, I learned some life-changing truths:

• Breakthrough Doesn’t Have to Take Long.  Jesus navigated His wilderness experience in 40 days – not 40 years or even 40 months.  Because He knew HOW to navigate the journey quickly.  
• God Is Big Enough to Handle Our Uncertainties.  I have learned that not only is He patient while people take time to process through their journey, but that He is the safest and gentlest place for them to be when they struggle and hurt.
• What We Usually Try to Do for Breakthrough Actually Delays and Hinders It.  If what we’ve been doing and have been told to do actually worked, it would have worked by now.  But instead, it’s prolonging our agony because it simply uses more of the same ingredients that got us in this position of soul-crushing torture in the first place.
• Breakthrough Is Shockingly Simple and Guaranteed by God.  Everything in the Kingdom of God works by simple principles that God executes and through which He promises success.  Anything complex hinders breakthrough and is not part of the goodness God promised.

For the past several years, I’ve dedicated my time to empowering people in their relationship with God, helping them connect with Him in an intimacy they say they didn’t know was possible. Now, I’m continuing to do that by offering to help guide others through their wilderness experience as quickly and effectively as I eventually learned to do.

As always, my teachings are very personal to me.  I teach out of how I live, not out of what I know.  I don’t teach concepts I’ve simply learn from others.  I teach from what God and I personally walk through together. Then I ask God to give me the words to articulate what I’ve lived through with Him.  Everything I talk about has not just been practiced in my life but continues to be proven over and over in the fruit of my life as well as in the fruit of the lives of those who have chosen to live in the same way.
